Just three months ago I walked into Shopafrolic’s office on Fifth Avenue to be greeted by the other interns for Summer 2012. While Clanking our drinks we wished for a wonderful Summer and we had the highest hopes of success for this company. Today is my last day at this beautiful office and I don’t think I’m ready to say goodbye to the view, the people and the company that has consumed my life for the past three months. Til next time NYC.

As I was walking in Central Park today it started to sink in that I now only have one full week left in the City. My time here was one for the records and one that I will never forget. Being thrown into a huge, fast pace and crazy city for one Summer was definitely an eye opener. Coming from a city where I know the majority of people, to a city where I know no one but my boyfriend was insane. But I have to admit that I loved every minute of it. Sometimes you need that time to yourself to search for the true you and learn to grow from there. Since my life has been one big roller coaster I can say that this Summer was my time to soul search. This Summer has brought out the best of me… and the worst. I am glad to say that I have learned more life lessons in these three months than I have my whole life. I highly advise you to step away from your comfort zone and embark on an adventure. I promise you, you won’t regret it.
